—President Russell M. Nelson, President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

A Note from Blaine Maxfield
Managing Director, Welfare and Self-Reliance Services
As our world continues to face many challenges, such as conflicts, natural disasters, and economic uncertainties, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints offers hope and relief. Through its extensive humanitarian efforts, the Church is dedicated to alleviating suffering and promoting self-reliance by addressing global concerns in meaningful and personal ways.
Your donations have enabled us to support critical initiatives, including the Relief Society’s global initiative for women and children. This ambitious effort, which focuses on nutrition, maternal and newborn care, immunizations, and education, is expected to benefit 12 million children and 2.7 million new and expectant mothers.
The Church has also provided relief following disasters, such as the devastating floods in Brazil in April and May 2024 that displaced nearly 600,000 people. Your donations enabled us to deliver food, water, and emergency supplies during a time of acute need. More recently, in fall 2024 the Church responded to the devastating hurricanes in the southeastern United States by providing emergency relief items along with thousands of volunteers to support impacted residents in their cleanup efforts.
Thank you for your faith and generosity. Because of you, our work to care for those in need continues to expand, instilling the hope of Jesus Christ throughout the world.
