Sister Alynda Kusch was asked to create an art project in honor of the recent name change of Ensign College. She lovingly designed and hand stitched a quilt chronicling the college’s history and highlighting significant milestones. The quilt illustrates the many buildings and the numerous names the college has had over the years and ends with the current name, Ensign College. It also features the college’s namesake, Ensign Peak, on the horizon overlooking the entire history. Sister Kusch designed each milestone to be placed higher than the last to signify the college’s theme and the quilt’s title, “Ensign Rising.”
