Biology professors Matthew Bailey and Sam Payne led the largest-ever study on how cancer spreads and affects proteins in the body. Payne says the 25 students working in his lab on this project for the past several years have found that relieving suffering through cancer research fulfills BYU's mission to learn and serve.
