More Than a Degree

March 2017
Brigham Young University-Idaho provides a unique educational experience with the goal of preparing students for lifelong learning, for employment, and for roles as leaders in the home, Church, and community. By maintaining a wholesome academic, cultural, and social environment, BYU-Idaho offers students what President Gordon B. Hinckley called “a foretaste of heaven.” With the sense of frugality and stewardship that guided Ricks Academy and later Ricks College, the university is making a Church education available to students across the globe through programs such as Pathway and the three-track system. Today more than 40,000 students throughout the world enjoy the blessings of the “spirit of Ricks” each semester.
