Nearly 30 percent of full-time missionaries come from non-self-sustaining areas and receive significant financial assistance from the General Missionary Fund. The Church asks these fine young men and women to contribute as much as they can to support themselves, and for some that may mean very little. Many of these faithful servants will become future leaders when they return to their homelands. They will serve with honor in their families, the Church, and their communities.
