Keynote Speaker: Stanley D. Neeleman, JD

Keynote Address:  What Now? Retooling the Estate Planning Paradigm to Accommodate New and Uncertain Realities

Description: The increase in the federal estate tax exclusion to $3.5 million per person, the uncertainty associated with federal and state responses to an urgent and growing need for tax revenues and the refutation of the premises underlying economic forecasting have combined to compel a reassessment and reordering of the factors and assumptions that inform the estate planning process.  Mr. Neeleman shared with participants his approach to the formulation of an estate planning paradigm that accommodates the changes and uncertainties in the legal and economic landscape.

This year's event was filled with a variety of sessions that focused on incorporating volunteering and giving into an individual’s professional and personal life. Conference participants also joined with Humanitarian Services to assemble school kits to send to children in Africa.
